Quit Smoking the Fun and Effortless Way

To quit smoking might seem like an intimidating mission. Cravings and the withdrawal period are difficult to fight when you are trying and have failed. However, if you are still determined to quit smoking, you should come face-to-face with some facts that can be helpful for you to quit smoking.
Smoking as an Addiction
Nicotine is considered to be an extremely addictive substance. Addiction with nicotine begins the moment you smoke one cigarette. There are many people who realize about this addiction when one cigarette a day leads to 10 or more cigarettes per day. To quit smoking at this stage seems next to impossible.
Smoking as a Habit
Keeping the addiction part aside, smoking also becomes a habit. There are people who smoke for different reasons like stress, pleasure, after meals and so on. However, they do not realize that they have become habitual to smoking cigarettes because they chose to make it a part of their daily routine. Therefore, you might have seen people craving for a cigarette at different occasions, without even realizing that smoking has become their habit.
These are the two factors that make you a smoker. Addiction is understandably easy as you might crave during the time of withdrawal; however, it is easy to overcome an addiction with determination and a focused level-headed choice. But, when it comes to smoking as a habit, you have to make your body understand that smoking won't be a part of its routine any more. Our body adjusts to whatever habits we expose it to.
Just like nail biting, you will have to convince your body and mind that smoking is a bad habit and can cause a lot of internal damage. It is a way of telling your mind and body to stop craving for a smoke and quit smoking.
To help you quit smoking further, you can put up inspirational quotes and messages to places you spend time mostly - like your office desk or even the toilet. Such inspirational quotes will give you the confidence you need to overcome smoking.
Also, try having an alternate hobby whenever you feel like smoking. This will help you take your mind of smoking a cigarette and you get a chance to develop a positive habit like reading a book instead.
Once you have made up your mind to quit smoking, pick out a date to quit. If you fail to follow the date, choose another and do it till you actually start incorporating it in your life. You can also seek help by consulting a doctor or even choose therapy.
